About 200,000 secondary school students were tested with covid-19 in the last two weeks, with a positive rate of 0.15%, announced this Monday, the government.

“Since the beginning of September, tests to covid-19 have been taking place in education and teaching establishments. After the teaching and non-teaching workers, and following the planned schedule, in the last two weeks it was the turn of secondary school students.

Nearly 200,000 tests were carried out for students from the 10th to the 12th grade, with the positivity rate continuing to show very low levels – 0.15%”, the Ministry of Education begins by referring in a statement.

It should be noted that this screening in the school community, given the start of the school year, this Monday entered the last phase, with the testing of students from the 3rd cycle of basic education, which runs until 15 October.

It should be noted that between 6 and 17 September, approximately 180 thousand teaching and non-teaching workers had been tested and the positivity rate was 0.12%.
